ICA Pediatrics Council Gears Up For Exciting Annual Conference in New Orleans

Team presentations and longer hands-on workshop are just two of the many new features to the educational program for the ICA Pediatric Council's 2015 Annual Conference in Chiropractic & Pediatrics.  The Conference this year is being held at the Hyatt Regency, December 11-13 in the fascinating city of New Orleans.

Besides the clinical presentations and workshops, attendees will also get to learn from dynamic and inspiring keynote speaker Irene van der Zander,"Kidpower Skills" that will be tailored to the doctor of chiropractic as a health care professional.  Irene is the founder of KIDPOWER, an international organization that has trained thousand of adults in different disciplines and professions with programs to help protect and empower kids, including those with special needs from bullying, abuse, harrassment, domestic and relationship violence, assault and abduction.

The weekend program also includes two fun off-site events -- a private tour of Mardi Gras World and dinner with entertainment at the Louisiana Children's Museum celebrating the graduation of the 2015 Diplomates in Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics.

"I invite all my colleagues to come to New Orleans so we can spend an exciting weekend together," said Pediatrics Council Chair Dr. Lora Tanis.  "The team presentations will show us how we can share information, learn from other professionals and collaborate with one another if it is in the best interest of our patients.  We are also setting aside enough time this year for the workshops so instructors can ensure that docs actually learn some new skills. We want this conference to be informative but also practical. They should be able to put into practice what they learn during this weekend when they return to their offices Monday morning."

December is a wonderful time to visit New Orleans especially for families. The weather is mild and the holiday season is a month long celebration with lights, elaborate decorations, family entertainment, gourmet chef demonstrations and special dinners that begin immediately after Thanksgiving. The different cultures that make this city unique add a special twist to the celebrations that out-of-towners will enjoy. Doctors are encouraged to bring their famlies or invite friend along, have a fun holiday while advancing their knowledge and skllls with a dynamic educational program .
