Building Bridges Symposium Down Under Receives High Praise for Educational Excellence
The ICA Pediatric Council continues to build bridges with chiropractors all over the world with its programs that focus on quality education and clinical excellence. Its most recent "Building Brdiges" symposium held in Sydney, Australia in June 2012, helped to reaffirm the clinical appropriateness of chiropractic care for children and pregnant women with lectures supported by evidence-based research.
Fifteen expert speakers from the United States, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom presented to a ballroom full of practicing doctors of chiropractic, 24 different lectures and workshops from neuroplasticity to pain syndromes in infants; from what techniques to use (or not) on post partum patients to holistic care of children with autoimmune sytem disorders, and much, much more. Research was an important compoent of this symposium with an update on current chiropractic pediatrics research as well as several platform and poster paper presentations.
The Symposium was co-sponsored by the Chiropractors' Association of Australia(National) and the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.
