Pediatrics included in June International Symposium Program for Geneva
Pediatrics is one of the topics included in the program for the International Symposium on the Science, Art and Philosphy of Chiropractic to be held June 11-12 in Geneva, Switzerland and presented by the International Chiropractors Association and the Foundation for the Advancement of Chiropractic Tenets and Science (FACTS).
The speaker on pediatrics is Lora Tanis, DC, DICCP a private practitioner with extensive experience in chiropractic care for children. Dr. Tanis is also the chair of the ICA Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics and an instructor on the Diplomate of Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics program held in the US and in New Zealand/Australia sponsored by Palmer College of Chiropractic and the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.
Dr. Tanis' lecture will be on "Extra-uterine adaptation- birth effects on the neonate, sympathetic nerve prevalence with crying, respiration and sleeping." She will also teach a one-hour workshop on adjusting techniques for the neonate.
The International Symposium has a well-rounded program from the care and treatment of professional athletes, to elderly care, and topics on chiropractic neurology, wellness, instrumentation and principles of musculoskeletal and spine MRI. Several research papers, selected by peer-review will also be presented
